From the first page to the last page, this book grabs your attention! Agent White is another winner for author Michael Kanuckel!
A great tale, another masterpiece! Bravo! Wonderful characters and really ingenious imagery, I loved it ! Can't wait for more!
An interesting story if not a bit gruesome, in my opinion. It was fascinating in its own way though. I liked Ezra even If I'm not sure if he died at the end or not.
Ezra Beckitt's idea of what is what is best in life is whiskey and pool. For me, it's a book like Agent White. A book that not only tells a great story but also builds a lifelike, believable world in which that story happens. A book whose characters I genuinely care about. Michael Kanuckel has crafted just such a book with Agent White! I highly recommend this book!
This book was recommended to me by a few friends. Even though Agent White is NOTHING like the books I typically enjoy, I gave it a chance.
I am so glad I did.
The author's ability to describe things is unbelievable. With every page, I felt like I was there. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.
This has been on my "to-read" list for quite some time and I finally got around to it. I had never read a Kanuckel book up to this point so I didn't really know what to expect. I have to say I was FAR from disappointed. Pulp crime and fantasy blends perfectly in this gritty tale of retired High Guard Ezra Beckitt awakening into a hidden world washed over by the cold hands of Man and time. The story is well told, well paced, and full of memorable characters. It did a thing few books seem to do nowadays, it held my attention the entire time. I can best describe it as Sin City meets Lord of the Rings. So if you like Miller or Tolkien, or better yet, both, pick up this book immediately.
Take your favorite 'Sam Spade' hard-boiled detective, add Tolkein's 'The Hobbit' and throw in the movie 'Blade Runner' and you've got this one incredible story created by Michael Kanuckel. A genius at weaving all of these factors into a unique tale all it's own, I'd highly recommend it to anyone who likes action, adventure and a 'hero vs villian' ending! Way to go, Mr. Kanuckel! Can't wait to see what you come up with next!
